Can MORryde Equalizers MR87ZR Replace 13-10 Equalizers

Question:

Hi I have a 2023 Starcraft 225CK travel trailer with a GTW of 6500 pounds. It has 3500 pound axles, 26” x 1.75” springs with 2.25 shackles. The equalizer is a Dexter 13-10 with 4” vertical spacing and 6” horizontal spacing. The FHS is 59”, with a wheel spacing of 34”. I want to upgrade my shackles to the MORryde wet bolt kit MR46ZR, I also want to upgrade my equalizer to a rubber suspension type. My research indicates that the MORryde CRE3000 MR87ZR might work for me. I have some questions. 1- since the equalizer vertical hole height is 3/4 less on the CRE3000 will that lower my ride height? 2.Will it change the tire to body clearance? 3. How will the wider horizontal spacing affect the suspension system 4. Can you confirm that these two options will be the correct for my trailer? Thank You

You can replace your 13-10 equalizers with the upgraded MORryde Rubber Equalizers # MR87ZR and Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR.

This would be the best option based on the similar dimensions of the equalizers, and to answer your questions, yes, you'll lose that slight ride height and change the clearance by 3/4" but it is highly unlikely this is going to be enough for your tires to have any clearance issues. The wider horizontal spacing should not affect your suspension in any real way; the 1/4" difference on each side just isn't enough to make an impact. For example, leaf springs flatten over time more than that, and the added length over time doesn't affect the suspension.
