What Does It Mean by Designed For Flat Towing Only For Blue Ox High-Low Adapter BLU53XR

Question:

Your video and description says for flat towing only and not to tow a trailer. What exactly does that mean? I want to this into the receiver on my truck and put my actual Hitch that hooks up to my trailer into this in the drop position. Can you please explain what you mean by, do not use to tow a trailer

The note that says, "Designed for flat towing only. Do not use to tow a trailer" for the Blue Ox High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2-1/2" Hitches - 7" Rise/Drop # BLU53XR means it is only rated for use by Blue Ox to dinghy tow a vehicle with four wheels down behind a motorhome. So it cannot be used on your truck to tow a trailer as it is not rated for such use.

If you are looking for a longer ball mount with 7 inches of drop you can use the BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Hitch - 7-1/4" Drop, 7" Rise - 22,000 lbs # HD256.

This measures 13-1/4" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball which is the longest distance for a ball mount while also giving you the drop you need. You can mount it to your hitch with Hitch Lock # 34061072-D.
