Here are the parts I recommend installing to flat tow your 2013 Ford Edge:

- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2628
- Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates # RM-677
- Hopkins Custom Wiring Kit # HM56001
- Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25
- Brake-Lite Relay Kit # RM-88400
- Brake System # DM86VR (motorhome hydraulic brakes) OR # DM26VR (motorhome air brakes)
- High-Low Adapter (see attached article - bracket height is 26-1/2" for base plate kit)

This combination of parts gives you the best from each manufacturer which is why I didn't go with a kit that used all parts from the same company. The Blue Ox base plate kit looks the best while the Nighthawk tow bar is easily visible with the LED lights plus it comes with safety cables and half of the wiring. The Hopkins wiring tees in behind your tail lights instead of splicing, and then the charge line and relay kits ensure your Edge is operating properly while being towed.

The brake systems and high-low adapter needed are determined by your motorhome. I like these brake kits because they are a one-time install and then really easy to get ready for towing.

When it comes to pricing, you can find the current pricing for the products on their respective pages by clicking on the hyperlinks and adding them to the online cart.
