Replacement Trailer Axles for Mobile Home Axles on Trailer
Question:
I am trying to replace some old mobile home axles with regular trailer axles and it seems that the measurements arent adding up. Can you please help me figure this out? I have three trailers I need to do this with. Thank you

Mobile home axles don't follow any standards, so it is no surprise you're having difficulty. The first thing I would do is get the hub face measurement which is the length of the axle. See the video below which shows how to measure.
In addition to the length you will also need the axle capacity. You can see if there are axle tags that list the capacity. If not, there is no good way to find this information for a mobile home axle. Assuming these are homemade trailers, you will likely have to decide what capacity is required on your own.
If 6,000 lbs is the capacity you need and a 95" hub face measurement will work, you can use the # e35SR you were looking at. The good news is once you swap these out you will have standard bearings and hubs should you need replacement parts in the future.
