Troubleshooting A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator Not Starting
Question:
I have gone through all the checks on the A ipower yamaha 2000 generator. I checked the fuel line and get fuel to the carb. Changed the oil, new spark plug. New gas. I can get fuel to drain from the carb at the drain valve. Will not start. Have not tried starting fluid to start.

Along with the following steps for troubleshooting the A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # 289-SUA2000i, I'm also attaching a cutout from the troubleshooting instructions for this generator.
If none of this works then you'll need to take it to a shop that can service generators so they can physically inspect everything.
I believe these are the things you said you've checked already:
1. It’s low on oil.
This generator requires 10W-30, you'll want to fill the oil until the upper mark of the dipstick is met.
2. It’s out of gas.
Ensure the gas tank is full and that the gas is not stale.
3. The choke lever is in the wrong position.
The starting dial switch needs to be in the starting position.
4. The fuel valve is closed or clogged.
Check the fuel line for clogs and ensure the fuel cap vent lever is in the ON position.
5. The carburetor is clogged or air locked.
You'll have to remove the carburetor and clean it out.
6.The spark plug needs to be replaced.
7. Electronics are plugged in during startup.
Remove any appliances plugged into the generator until it is up and running.
8. Check the air filter.
Check and clean the air filter
