Would Yakima Holdup Bike Rack # Y02443 Clear the Rear Bumper of a 2010 Subaru Forester when Folded
Question:
Will the Yakima Holdup clear the back of a 2010 Subaru Forester when in the folded up position while not in use? Also, when it is loaded with bicycles we have Trek Hybrids will the bicycles clear the back of the 2010 Subaru Forester?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Yakima Holdup part # Y02443 should clear the bumper of your 2010 Subaru Forester but to be certain you will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin out to the furthest point out on the rear bumper. Most of the time we have seen this measurement as about 4 inches on similar Foresters as yours, and the bike rack has a distance of 7 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the nearest portion of the rack when folded so it should work. But please check your clearance to be certain.
Your bikes should work very well on this rack if it was installed on your vehicle. There would be no clearance issues.
I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out.
