Recommended Furrion Replacement Rooftop Unit For A Dometic Brisk 2 RV Air Conditioner System
Question:
Yes I’m looking at upgrading my a/c. I have now a Dometic brisk 2. Wanting to bump up to the Furrion 15000 from my 13500. Do I need the swap kit for it? Also would you recommend the Furrion over getting a Dometic 15000? Thanks.

You can definitely swap up to a higher BTU rating for a more efficient system. You'll just want to first verify what style connector your Dometic rooftop unit has, whether it's a 6-pin or 9-pin connector. You can find the wire harness by removing the cover of your air distribution box to looking for the wire harness that hangs down and plugs into the controller.
If you have a 6-pin connector then you'll need one of the following units:
White # FR58PR
Black # FR86PR
If you have a 9-pin connector then you'll need the adapter which comes with the following units:
White # FR42PV
Black # FR32PV
I've attached some videos below where John will walk you through the installation process and you'll be able to see where the wire harness and controller are.
