Removing Atwood Actuator to Install Demco DM72VR

Question:

I have a ATWOOD hydraulic brake actuator 85736 thats welded on the trailer. Do have to have the old hitch cut off with a cutting torch or cut off as close to the weld and install your #DM72VR new bolt on brake actuator?

A cutting torch would work to remove your old actuator to install the Demco part # DM72VR. Or if you have a cutting wheel on a rotary tool that could be used to cut the welds and then maybe a grinder to get it smooth.
