Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2011 Hyundai Sonata For Carry Bikes With Hollywood Racks Sport Rider
Question:
I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I need a trailer hitch and a bike carrier for two bikes. Will the “Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2inch Hitches - Frame Mount - HR1450Z” fit into the “Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4inch - C11025”?

Expert Reply:
With the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11025 for your 2011 Hyundai Sonata having a 1-1/4" receiver you will want to use the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY74FR. This bike rack will fit into your receiver without needing an Adapter # HTAD as the Hollywood Racks # HR1450Z would require. The adapter does reduce your tongue weight capacity by 50%, or 200lbs to 100lbs on the Curt receiver above.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118557 will give you a 4-way connector. This will allow you to add Auxiliary Lights # C53201 in the event your tail lights view is impaired by your bikes. It will also allow you to operate the lights on a small trailer if you decide to tow in the future.
