Troubleshooting Pilot Brake Controller Showing N/C Until Probe Test Light is Connected
Question:
Pilot brake Controller 90 chevy 1500 Controller shows n/C until I back probe the blue wire and it works until I remove the test light.

It sounds to me like you have a bad ground so the circuit on your Pilot brake controller isn't able to read that a trailer is connected until you complete the ground with your circuit tester alligator clip like what we see with part # PTW2993.
Double check that your ground is securely connected to a clean, bare metal surface and that should fix the issue!
