Recommended AC Unit Options For A 2017 Palomino Puma Travel Trailer Prewired For A Second AC Unit
Question:
I have a 2017 Palomino Puma travel trailer, 50 amp hookup. It came with a Coleman Mach 15 model # 48254C869 A/C unit. I think its 15000 btus. Im prewired for a second unit in the bedroom vent. Looking for recommendations for a second A/C unit. any help would be appreciated.

Prewiring can mean a lot of different things since there's no industry standard on that term so you'll first want to see what you have available first. In my experience this typically just means that the manufacturer just ran the AC power to junction box in that area and cut a hole for the ac unit to fit into.
If you have a controller there then you could get away with just purchasing a rooftop condenser unit like the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup - 15,000 Btu # FR42PV and using the wire harness adapter to plug right into it.
If there isn't a controller there then you would be looking at needing a complete system like the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 15,000 Btu - White # FR92PR or # FR55PV if you'd prefer a wall mounted thermostat. This would operate completely on it's own from the other Coleman system and would give you the condenser unit, controller, and air distribution box.
