Recommended Truck Bed Mat For A 2022 Ford F-250 With A Spray-In Liner And In-Bed Camper

Question:

Hello etrailer! Regarding: The BedRug Custom Truck Bed Mat - Bed Floor Cover for Trucks with Bare Beds or Spray-In Liners Item # BMQ17SBS Although I have a spray-in liner, I would like a good all-purpose bed mat to protect from dents and scratches while hauling firewood in my F250. *** Given above, the main purpose is to use with a Slide in Camper. *** My concern with this is that it may compress too much, not *** providing proper cabover spacing. Please advise... Would this be the best choice or is there something else? Thanks.

The BedRug Custom Truck Bed Mat # BMQ17SBS has ridges in it to fit with the ridges in the bed of the truck so the while the overall thickness is 3/4" thick, the thickness above the ridges is much less. The thickest option we currently offer is the Black Armour Heavy-Duty Custom Truck Bed Mat # BA47AR, which is 1/2" thick. This would still up on top of the ridges and very dense so you wouldn't see as much shrinkage as you would with the BedRug mat so that you can maintain your cab clearance with the in-bed camper.

I've had the opportunity to play around with some of the Black Armour mats before and nothing really compares to just how heavy-duty they are. In the attached video below you'll see Adam throw this mat into the bed of an F-250 with a spray-in liner and you'll see just how thick the mat is. It's approximately 98lbs so I recommend having a friend with you to help throw it up into the truck and get it in place.
