A-Frame Trailer Tongue Jack Keeps Blowing Fuse on Coleman Camper
Question:
I have a 2019 Coleman travel trailer with an issue with the electric tongue Jack. The jack will only raise and the 30amp fuse keeps blowing. I replaced the switch and the issue persists. I can switch the wires on the switch itself and the Jack will lower but I cannot get it to raise and lower independently without switching the wires around. The fuse has blown multiple times. Any help is appreciated

If the fuse blows then that either means you have a short in the wiring or the motor is going out. If the wires have all been checked as well as the ground, I would guess the motor is going bad causing the fuse to blow. Unfortunately, you can't just simply replace the motor so if you have checked all the wiring, both power and ground then you'll be left to replace the jack, the Electric Jack with Footplate part # EJ-3520-BBX is a good cost effective option for this.
