How To Find Out Which 7,000lb Axles Will Fit 2021 Trails West Snowmobile Trailer w/ 5,200lb Axles
Question:
I have a 2021 trails west snowmobile trailer with 5200k axles. i want to see if you would offer a 7k axle as a direct replacement for my trailer.

Expert Reply:
It's possible, but I have no way of knowing which axle would fit so you'll need to either send me a picture of the axle tag on the center of the axle beam, or measure the hub face an spring seat lengths of your current axle as shown in the included diagram. You'll also need to note if you are needing a drop axle, like the # e85SR you were looking at, or a standard axle.
Keep in mind you'll also be changing you wheels as a 5,200lb axle uses 6 lug hubs where 7k axles use 8 lug, and your trailer still won't be rated to carry/tow any additional weight. While you'll have stronger axles, your frame is still the same thus not changing your towing capacities in any way.
