Can You Raise L-Brackets on Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution More Than Level with Frame
Question:
2021 GMC 3500HD diesel pulling travel trailer that weighs close to 6000 lbs loaded. equalizer trunnion distribution hitch. I am sagging in the rear about one inch after attaching the trailer and applying WD. Have seven washers in head for head angle. Hitch ball is one inch above trailer coupler. Could raise L-brackets but then arms would not be even with the trailer frame. I feel as though the truck should be closer to riding stock ride height. Trailers pull nice with minimal sway and very solid on the road with current setup. Thoughts? Thanks

I spoke to Equal-i-zer about your setup and they informed me that if you need more adjustment for being under distributed, you can raise the brackets on the frame beyond level if you have already added the maximum number of washers to the angle bolt. I would also add that making sure you have the correct system is another thing to check so if you can get your exact loaded tongue weight, we can then confirm if you have the correct system.
If you do have the correct system and still cannot get the vehicle completely level, I recommend air bags like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2613.
