How to Determine the Correct Rise Drop Ball Mount for Towing a 24 ft Car Hauler
Question:
Bought a Dodge Ram w/6inch lift kit for road clearance for a under vehicle wheelchair lift. My 6inch straight non weight distributing is too long. Trailer is an enclosed 24foot car hauler with axles mounted solid to frame with no equalizer and HAS to be level for equal weight on the tires. I bought a used w/d hitch still in the box, never used Brand name Eaz-lift with 3/4 inch holes 1-1/4 in ctr to ctr. 2 X 2 in solid shank. Trouble is: too short, only 4inch . Your product code 17120 looks like it may work. Any suggestions before purchase? Need to travel on the 25th five days from now Please respond quickly.

The first thing I would recommend you do is determine what drop you do need in order for your trailer to be towed as level as possible. I attached an FAQ that details exactly how to do this.
Once you now how much drop you need you will be able to determine what shank you will need.
The Curt Weight Distribution Shank part # 17120 that you referenced has a max drop of 5-3/4 inches. If that is enough drop then this shank should work well for you since it is designed for 2 inch hitches, has 3/4 inch diameter holes that are 1-1/4 inches apart like your setup needs.
