Troubleshooting Low Voltage to Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater

Question:

Hello, I got my fogatti tankless water heater hooked up correctly when I went turn it on, no power was to the controller. Disconnected the whole rv to trace the voltage. I am supplying 13volts from battery. When I hook wires up and test wires, it drops to under 9 volts, but with everthing still connected the same. I unplugged power connections inside the water heater to test voltage and it read 13 volts. Dont understand what the problem is. Would love to get is correct to start our adventures. Thanks you.

Since your Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB44FR is experiencing voltage drop it sounds like you have a bad ground connection somewhere. I recommend checking your grounds and making sure they are secured to a clean, bare-metal surface. Even some paint can cause issues to try checking these connections first.

If this doesn't resolve the issue the next step would be having a professional look at your setup. It could be that the unit is defective but having a professional look at the setup will ensure that this and future water heaters won't experience the same problem if there is a weird wiring connection somewhere.
