Recommended Malone Crossbars for a 2016 Chevrolet Trax Using the Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier
Question:
I have a 2016 Chevy Trax and I want to mount the Hullavator on Malone airflow 2 bars, what size for the bars should I be getting?

Helpful Expert Reply:
For your 2016 Chevrolet Trax, I recommend going with the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack - Aero Crossbars - Raised Side Rails # MPG215.
These bars are 50" long so it'll be plenty long enough to use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # TH898.
These crossbars also have a maximum weight capacity of 165-lbs, however you should always consult your owner's manual for the vehicle's listed maximum roof capacity as that is the capacity you'll want to abide by.
This only really would apply to you if you are planning on loading some super heavy kayaks, if not you'll be fine and I wouldn't worry about it.
