Replacement Wheels for 2008 Jayco Jay Flight G2 Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a Jayco Jayflight 4600lb trailer and looking for nicer wheels. What should the load capacity of the wheel be to go with this trailer? Thank you

Expert Reply:
The wheel capacity should be enough to handle the weight of your trailer. I'm assuming you have a 2008 Jayco Jay Flight G2 23B based on the 4,600 lb weight. This has a dry weight of 4,525 lbs and GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of 6,500 lbs. Since the GVWR is the max weight of the trailer and cargo, that is what should be used when deciding on wheels.
Assuming you're looking for 14" wheels with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, the Aluminum Liger Trailer Wheel # LH84FR you looked at would be perfect. The wheel capacity is 2,040 lbs, so multiply that by four since you have four wheels and you can handle 8,160 lbs.
