Troubleshooting Bad Odors From An RV Toilet

Question:

I have a 2020 heartland pioneer qb300, the dometic 300 toilet that is in it emits a bad smell. I ordered the dometic 310 but it doesn’t fit in the same spot. What can I order to put in to replace the 300?

If an RV toilet is emitting a bad smell that just means the gaskets are failing. You can replace the gasket between the floor and toilet with part # Q23653VP and the flush gasket that holds water in the bowl and prevents odors with part # DOM63FR.

Most toilets require 11" of clearance from the center of the drain back to the wall, except for the 300 series which only requires 8.5". Since you don't have the extra space you would need to stick with a 300 series with either the White # DOM64FR or tan # DOM74FR.

I've attached one of my installation videos below if you'd like some tips on installing your toilet.
