How To Make A Dash Plate For An RV Stereo System  

Question:

I HAVE A CUSTOMER THAT HAS AN VD300WR LIPPERT TOUCH AUDIO, I SEE THE REPLACEMENT FROM ONE OF YOUR EXPERTS OPINION. ITS THE IRV63. MY QUESTION WHERE DO I FIND THE HARDWARE AND THE DASH PLATE. DO I NEED THESE? OR COULD ANYONE PROVIDE ME WITH ANY MORE INFORMATION. THANK YOU

I typically just make a dash plate out of some 1/4" thick plywood and I'll round the edges and paint it to look nice. That being said, you could use any material you wanted to. There are also companies that sell sheets of ABS plastic that you can cut down to cover the hole and are strong enough for you to cut another hole in to mount the iRV RV Stereo w/ DVD Player # IRV64FR. As for the mounting hardware, you'll have to source that at your local hardware store.

I've attached a short video below where I make a dash plate out of wood to install the Jensen Mechless RV Stereo # JEN25RR in a trailer that had a much larger Drive stereo.
