RAV4's come with a few different rail styles for their roofs but if you have a naked roof with no rails that run front-to-back then you will not be able to use a roof top tent on the roof and would instead need to use a rooftop tent trailer like the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer # Y08129.

If you have rails that are flush with the roof then you'll need a flush style rack, which I recommend the following components for:

There are some stipulations with raised rails that require them to have supports (i.e. there will need to be support blocks somewhere on the rail other than just at either end where it mounts to the roof). You'll need your crossbars to spread a minimum 33-1/2" apart from center to center as well to be able to attach the tent.
