The brake controller wiring functions are as follows: white is ground, black is 12 volt power, blue is output to the trailer brakes, red is input from the brake switch.
Your Toyota harness has brown for ground, black with red for 12 volt power, red for output to trailer brakes, and green with white tracer for input from brake switch. The solid green wire is not used and can be capped off and stowed out of the way.
So you will connect brake controller white to harness brown (ground)
Brake controller black to harness black/red (12 volt power)
Brake controller blue to harness red (output to trailer brakes)
Brake controller red to harness green/white (input from brake switch)
