Weight Capacity of Stromberg Carlson Bumper Mounted Tire Carrier
Question:
what is the weight maximum of your bumper mounted tire carrier with U bolt mount code TR-1 the weight of my tire is75 pounds
asked by: Patrick J
Helpful Expert Reply:
The # TR-1 doesn't have a set weight capacity. Stromberg Carlson has tested this tire carrier to 100,000 miles on a 50lb 225/75R15 travel trailer tire. They do not have any information on a 75 lb setup. However, the Brophy Rigid Mount Spare Tire Carrier # BR56VR would be able to handle it. They don't have a listed capacity either, but according to Brophy your bumper will give out before the carrier does.
