Can Rhino Rack Kayak Carrier # RR570 Attach to 1 inch Diameter Round Crossbars
Question:
I want to put a kayak carrier on top of a boat that already has 1” diameter stainless steel bars across the top. Will the Rhino rack attach securely to these round steel bars or are they too small, thereby allowing the rack pieces to move during the loading/unloading process?

Expert Reply:
The Rhino Rack kayak carrier part # RR570 that you referenced is perfectly compatible with 1 inch diameter crossbars. That's actually a pretty standard size for round crossbars so this would work fine. Now with all round crossbars you do have to worry a little bit about the racks rotating on the bars since they are totally round and no angle of the bars prevent the rotation.
