Recommended Hitch for a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek
Question:
I just got a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek and I need a hitch with a 2" receiver. It's the standard model not the hybrid. Your website is confusing. Which hitch do I need?

Congrats on the new car! Our website can be confusing sometimes when it comes to hybrids. For your non-hybrid 2023 Subaru Crosstrek, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e98912. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Subaru with included hardware.
I really like the etrailer hitch because the crosstube installs behind your rear bumper leaving only the 2" receiver exposed. This not only looks better but it also helps with ground clearance.
The etrailer Hitch item # e98912 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 525 lbs maximum tongue weight. This hitch can not be used with weight distribution systems.
I have linked an installation video below along with a couple of pictures so you can see what this hitch looks like installed.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56040 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
