Parts Needed For Flat Towing a 2013 Ford F-150 Platinum EcoBoost With Blue Ox Base Plate

I have a 2013 Ford F150 Platinum with Ecoboost. The part number on the Blue Ox website is BX2681, is this the same as your BO74FR?

Yes, the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BO74FR is the Blue Ox part number BX2681. This is the correct baseplate for your 2013 Ford F-150 Platinum with EcoBoost engine. I recommend using the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420 with this base plate.
The Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 will provide you with the wiring needed for your tail lights to operate off your tow vehicle. You will also need a Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to prevent the battery from being drained when flat towing.
I feel the Demco supplemental braking systems are the best and easiest to use. You will need the Air Force One # DM26VR if you have a motorhome with air brakes. Otherwise the Stay-IN-Play DUO # DM86VR is needed if your motorhome has hydraulic brakes.
