Why do Tandem and Triple Axle Trailers Use Equalizer Suspension
Question:
i have a trailer 26000 lb had 3 axle , i want to buy axle hanger to make each axle by itself without using the equalizer and distant each axle from the other by foot and a half , any disadvantag for doing this , in other way what is the advantage for using the equalizer

This is a really good question but here's why the equalizer setup is needed on non-single axle trailers. Its because when you hit a larger bump or elevation change without an equalizer a single axle at a time is going to have to take on the entire weight of the trailer. Since that will overload that axle in those moments an equalizer is needed to distribute that weight to the other axles. It's a pretty simple but effective design. So in real life what that means is that if you were to get rid of your equalizers and go with three single axles they all would most likely fail pretty quickly due to undue stress put on them.
