Is Furrion 7-Way Power Adapter Needed for Trailer Lights and a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500

I have a 17 Sliverado and I am using a curt brake controller that plugs into 7 pin. Will I Need this for my rear and side cameras

If you already have a camera system installed then the best way to know if you need the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter # FR87PR is to hook up the truck to your trailer and drive around to see if the cameras function like they should.

If you don't already have the camera system installed then it's kind of hit and miss with your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 model year. The 4th generation GM trucks (started with 2019 model year) definitely have this power issue but the years before this aren't set in stone as to which ones need it.
