What Would Cause Vehicle Battery in 2018 Ford F450 Thor Motorhome To Be Dead After Using Shore Power
Question:
My Ford E450 Thor Freedom Elite Motor Home wont start and instrument cluster is dead after I plugged it in to shore electrical. I read a report that traced the issue back to a Furrion 50AMP automatic transfer relay switch. Please provide any information you can concerning how to rectify the problem. Thank you so much.

Man I'm sorry to hear that!
I don't see how a Furrion 50 amp transfer switch # F50ATS would cause this issue though, as your vehicle battery should not be able to be drained from your house batteries, and your vehicle battery should not be hooked up to a transfer switch like the Furrion unit.
Did you recently have the transfer switch installed? If so I'd verify that it was wired correctly by checking out the included instructions, because shore power should not affect your vehicle battery in any way shape or form.
If you're not familiar with 120v AC electrical, I highly recommend taking the motorhome to an RV shop as you can cause some serious damage or injury real quick.
