Are Additional Items Needed To Install The Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System
Question:
I want to purchase a roof top air conditioner Advent ACM135BC/13500 btu for a cargo trailer. What sealant do you recommend between the a/c and the roof of the trailer? I’ve also saw a foam gasket used, is this necessary? Any thing else I would need with this unit? Thanks

You won't use sealant on the roof when installing the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ACM135BC. The foam gasket is going to get compressed as you bolt down the unit and form the seal. It's important that you don't drag or slide the unit on the roof as you could damage the roof membrane or the AC's gasket.
You shouldn't really need anything other than some butt connectors or wing nuts to make your electrical connections. The important thing here is that since you're installing this in a cargo trailer you'll need to ensure that you build a frame in the ceiling to help support the weight of the rooftop unit.
