Can Longer Crossbars Be Used On A Yakima OverHaul HD Ladder Rack On A 2023 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Hi, For a 2023 Toyota Tacoma, you show pictures of 68 HD Crossbars in use with the OverHaul HD Towers, and one of your experts talks about using them on a Tacoma for the additional 8 of width. However, Im also looking at adding a roof rack to the cab I haul 21 foot canoes in strong crosswinds. Your website only provides a full roof rack kit for the Tacoma bars, towers and pads for 60 bars, and it says 68 bars are not confirmed to fit the Tacoma. Any particular reason for this? The Tacoma is 74.4 wide without mirrors. thanks!

Expert Reply:
Yakima lists that the minimum crossbar size required for the 2023 Toyota Tacoma as 60". We typically just list the requirements and not every single fit that could work when it comes to just the crossbar size. The larger 68" crossbars # Y01158 would still work with the OverHaul towers on your 2023 Toyota Tacoma.
