Where Does Blue Wire Go on 4 to 7-Way Adapter With Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2020 Sienna LE and have a 7way 4 way combo plug and 4 way wiring installed. All wires are connected incl. auxiliary power except the blue one for EB. I want to use the Curt Echo wireless controller. Where do I connect the blue wire to?

Expert Reply:
The trailer brake output or blue wire is not connected on a 4 to 7-way adapter like the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7L when using a wireless trailer brake controller like the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller part # C51180. The two four way plugs connect to each other, the white wire goes to ground, the black wire goes to the vehicle battery, and the yellow and blue wires get tied up. The blue wire is not used like it would be for a traditional trailer brake controllers as there is nothing in the cab to connect it to since the controller is now plugged into the trailer connector. The brake controller uses the black wire for power and it then sends this power through the blue wire on the trailer to the magnets.
