Replacement Thermostat Recommendation for Suburban Furnace on Motorhome

Question:

I see you sell RV thermostats, so was hoping you could give me some ideas on what is available. My RV has a Suburban furnace and an AirXcel Suburban thermostat. The thermostat is wired for HEAT ONLY, even though it appears to have controls for AC and fan. The AirXcel themostat is hard to read, and harder to use you have to cycle through fan modes and AC modes to just get to the heat mode, which is the only thing controlled by the thermostat. I see you sell analog thermostats, but I would much prefer a simple digital one, but it has to operate on 12 volts, and most simple digital thermostats Ive seen operate on either 24 volts or AA batteries - the only ones that work on 12 volts are either too basic analog ones, or too complicated like the one I have, that requires pushing one button about 6 times just to turn on the furnace. I do not want a programmable one - just one that has an on/off switch, and digital display of the set temperature, plus a backlight. What options do I have?

Since you're only wanting to control the heat on your Suburban furnace you'll want to use the Dometic Mechanical Thermostat # DMC54FR.

This is one of the analog thermostats you were looking at and the reason this is what I recommend is because it's the only thing that is compatible - the digital options are designed to work with specific systems which is why they won't work for your application.

Attached is a review video for you to check out.
