Which Fuse Bypass Is Needed For Flat Towing A 2014 Chevy Equinox
Question:
Re: the answer below that Kevin wrote According to the GM Technical Service Bulletin 17-NA-348, GM has identified 4-cylinder models of this vehicle as having steering instability issues while towing. If you have a 4-cylinder model of this vehicle, you will need a # RM-76517 instead of a # RM76511, and will need to leave fuse DLIS #32 intact and pull the ABS module fuse located under the hood. Note: due to manufacturing variances, some 4-cylinder models may label the ABS module fuse as #15 or #16. This information is current as of November 20, 2017. I do have a 2014 Chev Equinox Body style LL. Do I have to do all of the above while flat towing? If so, where is the RM-76517 installed?

You'll need to confirm whether or not you have a 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder engine to determine which fuse needs to be pulled. If you have a 4-cylinder engine and need to install the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles - 50-Amp FMX Fuse # RM-76517 then you'll want to follow along with the attached video below and install the fuse in the engine compartment.
If you have a 6-cylinder and need to install the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass # RM76511 then you'll want to place this inside the cab of the Equinox so the button can be worked into your dash and splice in extra wire to run to your fuse block.
Either way there is a fuse that needs to be removed to safely tow your Equinox so you'll want to ensure that you do to avoid any damage to the vehicle.
