Supplemental Braking System Alternative to Not Splice Air Lines on a Tiffin Breeze w/ Air Brakes

Question:

Quick question… do I have to use the Air Force? I’m a bit nervous about splicing into the air brakes. I designed equipment for Caltrans, and the vehicle code actually prohibits splicing into the air brake system. I’m sure I’m up to the task, just concerned.

There is another option. You do not have to use the Demco Air Force One item # DM55MV if you are not comfortable splicing into the air brakes.

Instead you will want the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System item # RM-8700. This is also a permanently installed system that is compatible with air brakes. It relies on an electrical signal from your motorhome to apply the brakes.

I have linked an installation video below.

With the InvisiBrake system you will also need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM-751471. The stop light switch lets you know when your brakes are being applied in your Jeep.
