Troubleshooting RV Freezer Working But Fridge Is Not

Question:

Just inquiring about an RV refrigerator. The freezer works well but the fridge does not. Do I have to replace it or just possibly replace the coil?

The main issue that I've seen with RV fridges, especially the Everchill brand like part # 324-000119, is that the fridge isn't defrosting sufficiently. What you need to do is unplug it and let it thaw out and then make sure the drain is in a good location and able to drain properly, plus you need to check the ground of your fridge and make sure it is securely connected to a clean, bare metal surface. In the comments that I've seen the ground was a major problem, and the RV came from the factory in that condition.

If these don't work then I recommend having a professional come out and check the fridge so you'll know exactly what's wrong.
