2017 GMC Sierra 2500 5th Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 20K Trailer
Question:
Hello, I have a 2017 GMC sierra HD 2500 Denali crew cab with a standard bed 6 1/2 foot and I am looking for a fifth wheel slider hitch for my fifth wheel camper that weighs 20,000 pounds can you recommend which slide or hitch it’s right for my truck And it does not have the OEM puck system. For your application I recommend using the B&W Companion # BWRVK3400-5W which mounts to your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 6-1/2' bed with the B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1016-5W. This design gives you a clear truck bed when you aren't towing, doubles as a gooseneck hitch, and is arguably the best 5th wheel setup for short bed trucks on the market.
In addition to this hitch system I also recommend adding the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector # PK11893-11932 so it's easier to connect your trailer wiring in your truck bed.
