A 500 lb rated front mount hitch for your 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 is the Draw-Tite # 65063. This will fit your truck if it has factory tow hooks. I have the installation instructions attached. The hitch will bolt to the tow hook brackets with the included hardware and then you will re-install the tow hooks over the hitch. This will sandwich the hitch between the tow hooks and tow hook brackets.

This hitch has 9,000 lb line pull and 500 lb vertical load weight capacity limits. Please check your owners manual or with your Dodge dealer to find out the weight capacities of your truck before you load or pull any cargo.

I am not sure what type of cargo you want to carry so I have provided links to our cargo carrier main page and you can select from there. You will want to be aware that the weight of the carrier that you choose is included in the total weight allowed. For example, if you pick a carrier that weighs 50 lbs carrier then you can load only 450 lbs on the carrier even if the carrier is rated for more.

Also please be aware that carrying cargo on the front of your truck may impede your headlights and/or your line of sight, and/or block air flow to your motor. You might also want to check your local laws for any restrictions regarding the use of a cargo carrier on the front of your truck.
