What Size Cross Bars Are Needed to Use 2 Thule Hullavator's On a 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk
Question:
I am purchasing a 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I want to purchase two Thule Hullavators for my two 13 foot Necky kayaks. Keeping in mind the 4 inch beyond pillar requirement, which type and size of Thule roof rack should I purchase to meet my needs?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack # TH898 will require approximately 28.5" of load bar space. This means the crossbars on your Cherokee need to be at least 57 inches long for them to accommodate two carriers.
As long as your 2022 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk has factory rails that run front to back, you can use the 2022 Jeep Cherokee Roof Rack by Yakima which consists of:
- Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00426
- TimberLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars # Y33TR
The Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07204 can be added to secure the rack to your roof.
There is not an option with long enough crossbars if your Cherokee does not have the factory rails that run front to back.
