Replacement Gas Strut Measuring 26-1/2 Inches For Solear Awning

Question:

I have a Solera AWN1000 awning, 19 BKWG, on my 2015 Starcraft 26 foot AR-ONE MAXX travel trailer. The struts no longer effectively hold up the awning. The inscription on the struts read: Stabilus Lift o Mat 654150 0550N. I tried an aftermarket brand from ****** to replace them. They were the correct size, length, and newton rating, but did not support the awning any better. What strut do you suggest for this awning?

The only gas strut we have that will work, and thus the one I suggest, is the direct replacement from Solera. This strut measures 26.46" when extended and 15.04" when retracted:
