Swing Away Platform 2-Bike Rack Solution
Question:
We already have 2 Yakima highroad bike mounts. We recently bought a Jeep wrangler and are looking at the Yakima EXO swingbase Y34RV. We are wondering if they are compatible? It would be nice if we can mount the high roads to that base

Expert Reply:
For a two bike rack similar to two Yakima HighRoad bike racks part # Y75FR that you can use with the Yakima EXO Swingbase part # Y34VR you'd want the Yakima EXO Double Up part # Y24VR. The channels of the Swingbase are not compatible with standard bike racks and require racks specifically made for them.
Or for a similar pivoting platform bike rack we have the RockyMounts BackStage part # RKY10002 which is a little easier on price.
