What Causes Landing Gear to Blow Fuse with Replaced Motor and Gearbox

Question:

30A fuse blowing when trying to extend landing gear to raise RV. Only does this when under load of the RV as Ive lifted with my tractor and can extend/retract landing gear with no issues. Have replaced motor and gearbox with same results. Single drive system with the lead leg on passenger side of vehicle. Two questions: 1 are the Landing Gear repair kits for both the Lead and Follower leg the next obvious things to try? 2 I think the current rating for my system is 3000# per leg or 6000# total, is there an upgrade option to a heavier duty landing gear setup or perhaps upgrading to drive legs on both sides?

If the motor and gearbox both checkout then the next likely cause of the problem would be the internal gears which can be replaced with the Lippert Venture Lead Leg Repair Kit for 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear part # LC146059 or Lippert Venture Follow Leg Repair Kit for 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear part # LC146060.

If you're looking for a higher rated landing gear motor, I recommend the Lippert HD 6500-lbTuson 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear Motor part # LC196308.

If you want to switch to a dual landing gear setup, you'll need another lead landing gear leg and motor, if you can get me the dimensions of the leg I'd be glad to provide some options. That said, I recommend the replacement gear kit first as it's the most cost effective option to remedy the problem.
