Do I need an electric brake to tow a 2005 Honda CRV EX behind my 2013 Class c Sprinter 3500? What else?

Expert Reply:
The legislation for whether or not a supplemental braking system is required for a towed vehicle varies by state but the last I checked, anything over 3,000 lbs requires one no matter which state you're in so it's safe to assume you'll need one for a 2005 Honda CRV. I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot 3 Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System part # BRK2019 as it's easy to setup and can be transferred with you from vehicle to vehicle.
