RoadActive Suspension Kit for 2018 Ford F-150 Towing 6,000 Pound Travel Trailer

Question:

I have Ford 2018 F150 towing a 6000 lb travel trailer which would you recommend the 3000lb rear roadactive susupension or the 2000 lb roadactive rear susupension or any other rear suspension to help tow? Thanks I appreciate it

I recommend the heavy duty kit # RAS3611-YHD for your 2018 Ford F-150. This kit, as well as the standard # RAS3611-Y, won't impact your unloaded ride quality. It is for that reason that I would go with the higher capacity. That will give you the most support and have you covered if you're adding additional heavy cargo to your truck bed.

If you don't already have one, you may want to consider a weight distribution hitch for towing your travel trailer. This is the best option to keep you level and also helps reduce sway for a better towing experience. I recommend measuring your tongue weight with a scale like the # e99044 so you can choose the right system for you.

More than likely you could use the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-1061. This works with a 600-1,000 lb tongue weight. Ideally you want your tongue weight to fall into the middle of the range of the system. This uses friction sway control and clamps onto the frame of your trailer with brackets.

I have attached some review videos, along with some helpful articles on weight distribution and measuring tongue weight for your reference.
