I have a couple options for you as installing a set of 5th Wheel Rails # C16200 will likely involve having to remove the gooseneck hitch from your 1997 Dodge Ram pickup. Depending on your gooseneck hitch it may impede you from being able to install the 5th Wheel Rails # C16200. These rails include universal mounting brackets to attach the rails to the frame. These will allow you to use a Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16115 which is our more economical combination for adding a 5th wheel hitch.
The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550045 will attach to the gooseneck ball you already have. This will save you on installation and it will give you a stronger 21,000lb hitch. You will need to ensure your gooseneck ball does not sit more than 5" above your bed to use this hitch.
