Helpful Expert Reply:
You would only need to adjust the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469 manually to speed up the process of setting the brakes up after installation. While this step is not required it is often preferred on some larger trailers to ensure the brakes operate correctly after the installation. This will help reduce unwanted wear and tear on your vehicle during the initial bed in process of the brake installation. The biggest benefit is the brakes will adjust themselves as they wear giving you more consistent brake feel and not having to adjust the brakes every 3,000 miles.
