Replacement for Curt 4-Way Wiring Kit on a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
2013 Hyundai Sante fe Sport with factory trailer hitch wiring connections - The passenger side wing mirror turn indicator light and rear turn signal light recently started to remain on during vehicle operation and when the vehicle is turned off - Several blogs, etc. out there point to the Curt Trailer Hitch harness and wiring as a potential culprit - After inspection, it honestly looks like a bad install - I only saw one factory plug being used and noticed the hardness wiring vertical, which struck me as odd - I pulled the drivers side taillight assembly and it seems that someone wired the Curtis harness to the taillight, which I believe after reviewing various installation videos is not correct - I am wanting to remove and replace the harness as it also has exposed wiring at the pigtail for connecting a trailer - Whats my best course of action - Thanks in advance...

The correct Curt T-Connector wiring kits for your 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport are part # C56332 is you have the factory tow package or part # C56184 if you don't have the factory tow package.
The kit that plugs into the factory tow package wiring installs inside the rear cargo area of your vehicle while the kit for vehicles without the factory tow package tee in behind the tail lights; it sounds like you have the one for vehicles without the factory tow package.
For your application I recommend replacing the Curt T-Connector with the Tekonsha T-One # 118571 which also tees in behind the tail lights and pulls power from the battery, but we've found the Tekonsha wiring to be much more reliable than the Curt options.
I'm attaching some installation videos for you to check out. If this doesn't look like what you have please let me know and I'll be happy to help you look into this further!
