How Does Curt Trailer Hitch 13364 Install on a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan and is Trimming Required
Question:
Im looking at the Curt 13364 hitch for a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. Does the current model of this have 2 or 3 mouting bolts to be used on the passenger side of the vehicle? Also, is there any trimming of the fascia cover required? And finally, I see that some manufacturers include a piece of split tubing to cover rear air/heat lines, would that be a good idea for any installation? I really like the look of the closed ends of the Curt unit vs just the open tubing on the others. Thanks for your time and attention to this detail.

Curt trailer hitch # 13364 has 2 bolt holes on the passenger side of the vehicle because the forward most bolt on the vehicle is there holding on the vehicle bumper and Curt decided this location was not necessary to safely secure the hitch to the vehicle. It looks like all of the hitches use just 2 fasteners on the passengers side.
Trimming might be required on the Town and Country vans according to the instructions, linked for reference, but the 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan is not mentioned. When we installed this hitch on a 2014 Grand Caravan, see link to video, trimming was not required. You can certainly add some loom to protect the AC lines if you wanted to but it is not required.
If you are planning on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56331. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation of the wiring as well.
