Troubleshooting a Trailer Right Turn Signal Not Functioning on a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500
Question:
After replacing the factory installed 7 pin harness it is still not working. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. After checking the trailer out I isolated the problem with my truck. The pins seemed a bit corroded so I replaced the entire harness. I decided to just test it by connecting the 4 pin and I still have the same problem. All the fuses are okay so it seems like it must be the green wire between where I connected the new harness and whereever those wires go to in the front of the truck. What do you suggest I do?

In the Dodge trucks the TIPM acts as the fuse for the trailer wiring circuits. The only way to fix your situation would be to take your truck to a dealer and have them reset your TIPM. You should note that they will only reset your TIPM 5 times before it has to be replaced, and its very expensive to replace.
Before you do that you should check your trailer wiring for shorts and have them fixed as needed before you attempt to tow the trailer again. You may have already fixed the short by replacing the 7-way though.
